臉書粉絲團「桃園人」發文表示，有一家新開幕的牛排店日前推出連續三天的免費牛排贈送，並提供多達3千份，因此吸引大批人潮前往排隊，等著享用免費牛排，不料排隊人潮不斷，甚至發生顧客嚴重爭吵的情形，影響到附近商家，連警察都前來維護秩序，店家無奈只好忍痛取消活動，但仍以優惠100元價格取代，回饋大眾。
網友們事後紛紛留言表示，「台灣最醜的風景，貪婪的人」、「會花時間去排幾乎都是貪小便宜的啦！完全不考慮排隊時間成本」、「比七月好兄弟還恐怖」、「美麗的風景」；不過也有網友認為「要免費，就要想到會發生此事，就有對應方法，但店家的對應方法讓人有被騙的感覺」、「是不是生意噱頭啊」。
